From the Start: Wheel Throwing and Handbuilding on Saturdays 10am-12:30pm
A 6-week class Saturdays 10am-12:30pm for adults. Class starts Saturday May 3rd.
Session dates: May 3rd to June 7th
Ready to try your hand at the wheel and dable in handbuilding? Join us in learning how to use the clay to make functional pottery. Students will be introduced to ways the wheel and handbuilding tools can create functional or abstract pieces suck as cylinders, bowls or trays. These are the essential forms to build a strong foundation in clay. Through demonstrations and hands-on learning, each class will build off the other and gain clay skills and confidence.
This is a Beginner Level Class. No prior clay experience is necessary.
Clay, firing fees and studio time are included in the registration fee. At this time open studio time is available in either the handbuilding room or the wheel throwing room if a class is not in session (in those respective rooms). Available hours will be updated and posted as classes run.
Just ensure you wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
